Biography

If I can’t express myself verbally, my art can. Renzo brings you in a world full of iconic cartoon characters producing works that lie between figuration and abstraction with various references and influences from different periods in time. Contemporary American culture blending its imagery through unique figurative paintings showcasing both street and contemporary art. I present my perception of the outside world while bringing pieces of my own emotions and personal life outward through my work.

Born in Montreal, Canada, in 1999, Renzo is the alias of a Contemporary visual artist who creates paintings, drawings and prints. He attended Concordia University in Montreal, where he studied film production. Using varied materials including acrylic paint, stencils, pastels, pigment sticks, spray paint, epoxies, varnishes and newspaper. Referenced everything from pop-culture icons and characters with various references and influences from the film industry travelling through different periods in time. Showcasing both street and contemporary art techniques with aesthetics that echo from Pablo Picasso and George Condo. Renzo brings you into a world full of characters where you can feel their soul and humanity even if they are fictional ones, he brings you on a trip into his mind in the form of a visual experience.
