Jane Adams was born and raised in Canada, and currently resides in Montreal. She studied Textiles and Design at Ryerson University in Toronto, and recently completed a Fine Arts Degree at Concordia University in Montreal.
Adams returned to academic studies after design related careers in clothing and furniture. An early love of textiles paved the way to exploring their use in painting and sculpture by combining them with plaster derivatives, paper and raw pulp.
Ancient Greek and Roman figures influence her sculpture, while her paintings are mainly abstract.
