Biography

Isabelle Lafargue, a French porcelain painter originally from Saint-Pierre & Miquelon Island, immigrated to Canada in July 2012, settling in Dieppe, New Brunswick, with her family. Her childhood by the seaside, immersed in nature, fostered her love for painting, beginning with her discovery of colored pencils hidden under her grandmother's pillow.

Over the past 15 years, Isabelle has honed her skills in art and cultural project management while exploring her passion for painting, ultimately specializing in porcelain. After training in Limoges, France, she developed her style, blending traditional and modern techniques, often incorporating metals like fine gold and platinum into her pieces.

Isabelle's dedication to her craft has earned her recognition; she has received awards from exhibitions and associations such as the International Porcelain Artists and Teachers (IPAT) and The Porcelain Artists of Canada Association (PAC). Alongside her artistic pursuits, she shares her knowledge by teaching classes, believing in the transformative power of artistic expression, particularly for young people.

Her creations, born from dreams and meticulously hand-painted onto delicate porcelain, embody a blend of whimsy, elegance, and contemporary flair.
