Biography

Ilana Block is a wildlife photographer, animal lover and naturopath, based in Montreal.

Ilana has been practicing naturopathic medicine in Montreal since 2001. As of 2010, when she is not in her office, she is out in nature, waiting for an animal to strike a pose, and absolutely loving it.

Growing up with a huge appreciation for nature, photographing wildlife came naturally to Ilana.

She has won several local, national, and international awards. She was the chair of the nature division at the Montreal Camera Club between 2015-2018. She loves to travel, to be out in nature, to discover new places and get to know new birds and other animals, to meet great people and share her love of photography through workshops and lectures.

Ilana has been published in nature magazines and her work has been exhibited at local cafés, art galleries, and local universities. She has permanent collections in a couple of hospitals and also had an exhibit in Paris.

Ilana has been selling her images to private buyers and stores over the past number of years.
