Biography

Ilana Block is a wildlife photographer, animal lover, and naturopath based in Montreal.

She has been practicing naturopathic medicine in Montreal since 2001. Since 2010, when she is not in her office, she is out in nature, waiting for an animal to strike a pose—and absolutely loving it.

Growing up with a deep appreciation for nature, photographing wildlife came naturally to Ilana.

She has won several local, national, and international awards and served as the chair of the nature division at the Montreal Camera Club from 2015 to 2018. She loves to travel, explore new places, and discover new birds and other animals. Ilana enjoys meeting great people and sharing her love of photography through workshops and lectures.

Her work has been published in nature magazines and exhibited at local cafés, art galleries, and universities. She has permanent collections in several hospitals and has also had an exhibit in Paris.

In recent years, Ilana has been selling her images to private buyers and stores.
